May 29, 1990 exactly 5:15 pm a beautiful baby girl named Sheila May Espero (EHEM! THAT'S ME ☺). Last May 29, 2008 (YESTERDAY) I celebrated my 18th birthday. What ill you expect?! A PARTY?! A DEBUT PARTY?! Your WRONG!!! I didn't celebrate my birthday with a party as I wished. I don't like PARTIES!!! I' not kind of girl who wanted 18 ROSES, 18 CANDLES etc. All I want is a simple celebration with my friends. Especially with my Best friend WENDY (Yes! she's one of the candidate of Blogger's Muse for the Month of JULY).
I celebrated it in KFC it was a simple gathering with my friends namely; WENDY (my best friend), REA (my true friend), Ton, Mark C., Honey Hansel Sesuca (Honey, it's his real name huh!), Nelwyn, Eldrine, Lon, Kit, JB, Ahmil, Tyrone, Mareen and Ayan. Alpha Cassiopeiae (α Cas / α Cassiopeiae ) is the second-brightest star in the constellation Cassiopeia (magnitude 2.25). It has the traditional name Schedar (which may also be spelt as Shedar, Shadar, Schedir, or Shedir).

It is an orange giant (spectral type K0 IIIa), a type of star cooler but much brighter than our Sun. In visible light only, it is well over 500 times brighter than the Sun. According to the Hipparcos astrometrical satellite distance to the star is about 230 light years (or 70 parsecs).

Schedar has been sometimes classified as a variable star, but no variability has been detected since the 19th century. Also, three companions to the star have been listed in the Washington Double Star Catalog, but it seems that all of them are just line-of-sight optical components.

The name Schedar comes from the Arabic word صدر şadr, "breast".

IDOL

I’m just an Ordinary man who wants to live and be happy everyday. My goal is to survive and create a family in the near future. I really don’t believe that there are some people who call me “IDOL” and it makes my heart jump when I hear that word. Thank you very much that you appreciate what I’m doing.

When I started to go to school, I’m one of the problems of my teacher. Let’s just say that I have a very low I.Q. My teacher call’s my mother every grading period. My teacher told to my mother that I must improve and I must study my lessons. My grade is below average and all I want is to pass. 74.5 yahoo!! Round of is 75% at least I pass. That was my motto 75 goes to Europe. When I was on grade one I always got zero in spelling. My teacher knows that I only know to spell DOG. Sounds freaky but its true. When I was on high school I always get the lowest grade. I really don’t like to study my lesson. I don’t do my home works I just play all day long. I just copy the assignment of my classmates. I’m always got the lowest on all my sit works and quizzes. I don’t give effort to my studies I just want to have fun.

When I was on college same routine I don’t study my lesson. I just copy my assignment and quizzes to my classmates. They told me that I must study my lesson to pass all my subjects and to graduate in college. Yeah! what ever! I just want to have a 75% and I will pass and graduate in college. I don’t think of anything but to have a 75% that’s all I want from my grades.

I having a hard time when I take my board exam last 2006. I know this lesson but I forget it. All of the questions are new to me. I want to pass the board exam but I think I cannot pass it. I don’t have enough time to study my entire lesson. Cheating is not allowed and I don’t have any chance to pass. Getting the average is hard to do. I try to study; I give all my effort even I know that I will not pass the exam. The examination was started I try to answer the entire questions. I really know that I will not pass the exam and so……. I fail to pass the exam. Better luck next time and study harder. When I join my vessel I bring along my entire reviewer. I study onboard the ship to try again to pass my license examination. I give all my effort that I don’t do before. I gain more knowledge on my subject matters. I really love to study and it helps me in everyday life onboard the ship.

I take my board examination last November 2007 I give all my effort and luckily I pass the examination. I was so happy to pass my license exam and I give all my effort on studying my lesson. I already gain 7 months here in the Philippines and all my savings are gone. I want to have a part time job to have an income for everyday. My bunkmates told me that try to apply in college school, to be a nautical instructor. It really freaks me out but I don’t have a choice but to try it. My parents don’t believe me when I told to them that I will apply to be an instructor Wish me luck! I try to apply on college school and believe it or not I was hired. I could not believe that I am now an instructor in college and I must be ready when I teach in front of my class. When I step on my classroom, I feel cold and nervous. I study all my lectures and discuss to them and they love it. They really like my teaching and giving ideas on the subject matters. I’ve got a high evaluation to my entire student. My comments are cooool very cool instructor Idol ko si sir, Okay lang sya magturo, I want 3/0 Espero to be my instructor again sobrang galing at cool syang instructor. From a Juan tamad become a book worm. We can change our self, I change my self and it helps a lot.

Another one is when I teach the PMI, Agro University and the Mindanao polytechnics cadets in Super ferry one. They ask some question and I answer it with a cranking joke on the side. It makes the student absorb the lecture faster when you put some joke on it. Sometimes they ask question about my personal life. I told them that I was a hard headed kid and I don’t what to study my lesson. I want to change and develop my self. I study my entire lesson and now here I am. I’m one of your instructor onboard super ferry. They were amaze on my past life that I change and it helps me. They told to me that I’m already one of there IDOL. I told them just study there lesson even nakakatamad but it will help you in your future when you want to be an officer aboard the ship. This is my life; I change because I want to grow. I change and I become an IDOL to all my students and I was flattered. Thanks to my entire student’s. I hope that we can meet each other again and I hope you will be manned your own ship.

Mother's day celebration

A very special day to celebrate for our mother’s who give life on this earth. Without them we will be nothing. They take care of us in her womb for 9 months. She’s always there for us in good and bad days. She knows what we want and what we need. On this day, we must give our mother thanks for what she’s done to us.

As I take my profession as a seaman.. To tell you the truth, I’m just like a living dead. Yup I know that we have a high salary and we can get what we’ve want the exchange for the high salary is our freedom to be our love ones. It’s a hard time to us thinking for celebration on special days. It depends on our vacation to celebrate a special moments to our love ones. Almost all of our life, time and effort we give it to our work. Valentines, Birthday, Anniversaries etc. we are on board the ship working for our family to give them a better and bright future. We don’t care of the celebration, we only care for what we have to do, on what is the purpose that we are on board the ship.

Time is gold.. Few weeks left and I will be leaving my house and go back to work on board the ship. It’s been 11 months that I’ve been disembark MT Maple Express to have my vacation and fix some important matters. It’s Mother’s day and luckily I’m here in the Philippines. As a payment from my absent on last mother’s day me and my sister plan for a surprise for out mother. First plan is we will buy 1 dozen roses for our mother but I think we already give flowers to our mother last valentine’s day. Second plan is we will buy a cake but I think there is no effort on just buying a cake. We need a type of gift that we will be doing efforts. Then we made up for a right plan and that plan is to cook spaghetti. My mother teaches me to cook spaghetti when I was on college. I master it so that I can use it if I like to eat spaghetti even I’m away from them. 0900hrs in the morning I go to the market to buy the ingredients on our spaghetti. My mother asked that what in the world are we planning and I told my mother that I will cook spaghetti because it’s mother day. We are lucky because I’m here in the Philippines. Last mother’s day I was aboard the ship. Ngaun lang ako babawi then my mother smiled at me.

I prepare all my ingredients to cook the spaghetti that my mothers teach me few years ago. She looks at me and asks if I needed help I told to my mother its ok I know how to cook this. I remember all that you’ve teach me before. After a few hours of wrestling in the kitchen I’ve finish my spaghetti and we eat it together happily. My mother told me that I already know how to cook the spaghetti. Pwede na daw magasawa hehehe!!. Then I told them that 2 years pa and someday we can celebrate again the mother’s day if I can have my vacation that will be exact on the date of the mother’s day celebration.

I was browsing for a song in imeem when I accidentally read the story of Madel and her mother.. I couldn’t help not to cry upon reading her story. Take time to read this and learn from her experience before it’s too late.

For the first time, allow me to thank you for all the love that you have given me especially when I was a child, sickly and difficult. I remember you coming from your factory work, dead tired, but you still managed to go to the market, cooked and cared for me. I always saw you because I was just there playingwith my friends. I saw you coming home with vegetables and fish which, when cooked, I ate a sour face becauseI wanted something more delicious. I don’t remember the day without a single complaint about you or about the life that we lived. But I also do not remember any word of gratitude from me for all that you were doing for us. My other brothers and sisters tried their best to help you. Thy sold things and engaged themselves even in contractual jobs to help you survive the family. It was hard not having a father around. I could still remember the day when he left us for another woman. You were trying to be brave, you talked to each one of us with the appeal to make things work out and do our best to keep the rest of us together. The family became incomplete without Tatay, but you tried to serve as mother and father. You were there to make a family among us. You were never bitter; you were never hard on us. But you were so hard on yourself in terms of not having even a little luxury of buying a new blouse for you. You always bought things for us first. And there I was, still complaining because I wanted more expensive things for me. And yet, you did not express any hurt feelings even if I knew that deep inside you were crying. You encouraged us to go to school, like my other brothers and sisters who were working students. I refused vehemently, I just wanted to hang around and have an easy life. I was lazy. Probably, I did not know what goodness was because I did not know how to be grateful. I wanted a better life but did not like to work for it. A month ago, you came home chilling with fever from forced overtime work. I attended to youfor a while but went back across the street where I was playing basketball with friends. I hardly looked at you when you were there lying in one corner of he house. After four days of sickness, you got up and prepared for work. I did not even ask if you were already well. I did not even help you carry the pail of water for your bath. You went back to work just to come back home in the evening pale and almost without life. You did not like to go to the doctor. You said the money that we had was for my next semester, in case I want to enroll for school. You said that you will be alright. The next day, you did not get up. My older sister cooked breakfast. Afterwards, she asked me to see if you were already awake. As I approached you, there was a strange feeling. You were sleeping quietly. Very quiet. I looked at you and you were lying down calmly and peacefully. As I got near you, I felt a pounding on my chest. For the first time, I prayed for you, that God will open your eyes and say the usual morning greetings to me with loving reminder that I should eat my breakfast on time. With bended knees I touched you, called you, but you did not seem to hear,I embraced you but you did not seem to feel. I whispered to you that I wanted to take care of you but no response at all. Deep within me, I knew why you cannot hear, speak, or feel me anymore. All I saw was a body, with a face that was calm but still could not hide the pains and struggles of a woman who tried her best to give us a family inspite of her limitations. As you lie down in peace before we bring you to your final rest, I would like to tell you, for the first time how grateful I am to you for being a mother to me, for giving us a taste of a family. Thank you for all the love that you have given me and us all. For the first time, I want to tell you I LOVEYOU and THANK YOU. The sad thing is that it does not matter anymore whether it is my first or last time to say those words to you… WISH YOU COULD HEAR ME say those words to you, wish I was able to say them to you a long time ago… NANAY, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, AND THANKYOU..

A mother’s love is something that is very, very special. It is something that no one can really explain. It's something that is made up of much deep devotion, joy, pain and sacrifice.
It is endless and unselfish and it endures whatever may come. It is full of hopes, dreams, tears and pleasure. Nothing can ever destroy it or take that special love away.

Gas at P30/Liter

(This is a forward message to me by one of my friends. Before i read this message actually i don't believe it because its a forward message and how come that we can drop the price of the gasoline in 30 pesos per liter. But when I finish reading it i think it is possible and effective to send this message to everybody. I support this message so I post it on my blog to spread this nice message). "LET'S SUPPORT THIS MESSAGE".

THIS IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' GAS FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN GET GAS BACK DOWN TO P30.00 PER LITER.

This was sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. If you are tired of the gas prices going up AND they will continue to rise this summer, take time to read this please.

I hear we are going to hit close to P60.00 a LITER by next summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down?

We need to take some intelligent, united action. The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas.

It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.
BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can Really work. Please read on and join with us!

By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about P30.00 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently P45.00/liter for regular unleaded in my town.

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at P30 - P35/liter, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace...not sellers.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action.

The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas.

But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies.

If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of ..... and ...... gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!



(If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is send this to 10 people or post to your blog....&n bsp; Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician. But I am . So trust me on this one.

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you!
Acting together we can make a difference.
