Blog, what is Blog? According to my research a blog is a blog (an abridgment of the term web log) is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting) are part of a wider network of social media Micro-blogging is another type of blogging which consists of blogs with very short posts. As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs.

There are many different types of blogs, differing not only in the type of content, but also in the way that content is delivered or written.

Personal blogs

The personal blog, an on-going diary or commentary by an individual, is the traditional, most common blog. Personal bloggers usually take pride in their blog posts, even if their blog is never read by anyone but them. Blogs often become more than a way to just communicate; they become a way to reflect on life or works of art. Blogging can have a sentimental quality. Few personal blogs rise to fame and the mainstream, but some personal blogs quickly garner an extensive following.

Corporate blogs

A blog can be private, as in most cases, or it can be for business purposes. Blogs, either used internally to enhance the communication and culture in a corporation or externally for marketing, branding or PR purposes are called corporate blogs.

By media type

A blog comprising videos is called a vlog, one comprising links is called a linklog a site containing a portfolio of sketches is called a sketchblog or one comprising photos is called a photoblog Blogs with shorter posts and mixed media types are called tumblelogs.

An Artlog is a form of art sharing and publishing in the format of a blog, but differentiated by the predominant use of and focus on Art work rather than text.

A rare type of blog hosted on the Gopher Protocol is known as a Phlog

By device

Blogs can also be defined by which type of device is used to compose it. A blog written by a mobile device like a mobile phone or PDA could be called a moblog One early blog was Wearable Wireless Webcam, an online shared diary of a person's personal life combining text, video, and pictures transmitted live from a wearable computer and EyeTap device to a web site. This practice of semi-automated blogging with live video together with text was referred to as sousveillance. Such journals have been used as evidence in legal matters.

By genre

Some blogs focus on a particular subject, such as political blogs, travel blogs, fashion blogs, project blogs, education blogs, niche blogs, classical music blogs, legal blogs (often referred to as a blawgs) or dreamlogs. While not a legitimate type of blog, one used for the sole purpose of spamming is known as a Splog.

So in the long run blog means a public diary that compose of everything you want to write. From Technology, Pictures, Video, and links etc etc. My first time to see a blog is when my batch mates in our school candidates me to the Shipmate of the month of February 2008. I was shock when I see the blogsite. I’m one of the candidate and there are people who are voting me for the shipmate of the month of February 2008. His blog was all about our school activities. From Classes, parades, and privilege of every class. I sign up to have my own blog in that day, actually I don’t know how to use a blog. Then after a week there was a girl from the states e mailed me and the title is attention bloggers. I read the mail and watch the attached video. The blog is a public diary that you can earn money to the visitor who was visiting your blog. The more visitors visit your blog the more money will be collected by the blogger. The Site will pay you check etc etc etc. I made up my mind to revive my blogsite and use it to have an extra income. Worst come to worst I didn’t pay attention to the earnings of the blog but I was interested to write all my sufferings in my love life. Blogger help me to ease and to release the pain inside of my heart.

In the first week of my blog, it’s just a plain classy blog. There are no visitors who visit my blog. I promote my blog to my friendster account to read my articles. Sometimes 5 person per day visit my blog and I’m very happy not to the earnings of the blog but I’m happy that there are reading my blog. I created a contest called Mariners muse. I ask permission to the contestant if it’s ok to them to post there picture in my blog and every people who visit my blog will vote them. I accept it, sometimes there some typographical errors in spellings and grammars. I didn’t tolerate it but I check my entire article and read it. Sometimes even the dictionary and other books have typographical errors too. There are no perfect but I’m trying to be perfect on my blog. It practices me to be confident in writing articles. Sometimes there are some comments that you must do this, you must do that and this and that and many that can be done by that. They are creating a new rule in writing a blog. From the top research a blog is a public diary and a public diary is a non rule to anyone that can be rule by everything else. This is my blog I have the right to choose what I will write to it because it’s a public diary. There no republic acts of the blah blah blah that I will follow. I know the limitations of the blog and off course I will follow the limitations but the rule of another that I must do this and that. That is there own brain, I don’t mind but I think they must create there own blog to use there knowledgeable and mind so they can write there own article and everything. From 2,434 visited by blog there are 2 negative comments on my blog. Thank you very much to the negative comments. That means there are challenging me to improve my blog and make it better. Charge to experience that what they say and beside from 2434 visited my blog and 2 negative comment wala pang 1% ang negative comment. There is a saying that if the mango tree is rich of mango’s some people will throw the stone in the mango’s because mabunga in tagalog. Parang ganun din ang blog ko Mabunga kaya binabato. I will never stop writing to my blog, I will take care of this blog because this blog help me before to ease my pain.
